Being able to hear heartbeats gives her a cheat here and she's damn sure going to use it, brushing along the bottom of Venti's wing with her fingertips just enough to rustle the feathers, curious (and, for some reason, nagged by a stray flicker of nostalgia). ]

I have yet to hear you sing, actually. [ The undercurrent in her voice, the fact that her lips are right against Venti's ear, makes perfectly clear that she's not after some flowery song lyrics. ] But I don't sing for just any old thing. [ Lupine knows this well by now; Venti will figure it out. Her species isn't inclined to be quite that malleable, but she does definitely like when people rise to a challenge. (She has something of a plan involving that extra blood Lupine got infused with, but she's not in hunting mode quite yet, it'll keep.) ]
