The next memory is about how I still couldn't get the horses to tolerate my presence, and all the pets this guy tried to get me were also afraid of me. I don't blame them, by the way.
In any case, rather than an animal he bought me a child. Just purchased another human being and stole him away to be a toy for me, or whatever. Maybe he wanted to observe how I interact with children, since I said something about how I was never allowed to leave his estate.
It seems like that kid and I eventually got along pretty well, because he was still with me about a dozen years later. That's when the estate burned, and I was passed along to my next owner.
