You could give me the gift and then come up with fun new ways to feed me chocolates.

[He retrieves from underneath a table a neatly wrapped box, which he presents to her. It's too large to be a ring: in fact, it's a necklace. Each stone on it is a perfect match for his ring in material, color and pattern.]

I couldn't find something that matched in the store, so I commissioned this specifically.

[ She actually gasps -- she knows fully well there hadn't been anything like this at the store even before he says that. ]

It's beautiful... please tell me you didn't spend every point to your name on it.

[ But how much does she really care, when she's already handing him back the box and turning her back to him so he can put it on her? ]

[Doctor gently places the necklace around her neck and clasps it in the back.]

Not to worry. Though it would have been worth it if I had.

[ She turns back, running her fingertips along the line of shining stones. Then she needs both arms to wrap around him. ]

I love it. And you. I'll never take it off. [ Fortunately precious stones and metals should survive her hibernation, clothes not so much. ]

[Doctor holds her tight, nuzzling against her hair.]

If it means half as much to you as your ring does to me, then I've done well.

It means just as much. I'm not good at using words to explain how I'm feeling, but I could show you.

[ She's a much better and more emotive kisser than she is a speaker. ]

[She could show him in two ways. He reaches out with his empathy bond, warmth and love and devotion flowing into her as he kisses her in return.]

[ Despite being delighted that he's using the bond now, she's a bit taken aback being that she's not used to it. That lasts only a fraction of a second, however. Beyond that there's whispers of all her old hangups, insecurities and guilt and fear that he's making a horrible mistake, worries about what will become of them when she wakes up again. ]

[ It's all background murmurs right now, easily lost beneath a wave of intense love and gratitude and and joy. ]

[He answers her doubts and insecurities with faith and trust, conviction that she is the best thing that's ever happened to him. He squeezes her close to him and lets his pure awe of her, how beautiful she is, how easily she can make him happier than he ever thought he'd be, well up in him.]

[ None of those concentrated bits of negativity could ever be gone entirely, but in the face of everything he's projecting they're as quiet and forgotten as they'll ever be. She's swept up in everything he's feeling, which lets her own responses shine brighter: affection and tenderness and passion that crescendo until it's like she's glowing from within. See, feedback loops are wonderful! ]

[ All of it shows in the sweet and delighted way she kisses him, the tight and protective hold of her arms. Soon enough they'll both have to settle into their negative self-images again, all the more reason to enjoy this moment. ]

[Feedback loops are wonderful, they should have done this ages ago.

He tugs her towards the couch, desire filtering in with the affection and love. He isn't done spoiling her yet, not by far.]

[ Hmm, well. She moves with him, amusement and gratification diffusing alongside the softer feelings like a drop of ink in clear water. ]

Maybe I'm not done eating chocolate yet. [ If her playful tone didn't make things clear enough, or the fact that she's easily stepping with him in her graceful way, through the connection it's very clear that she's joking. ]

[He knows her well enough to know she's teasing even without the benefit of the connection, but it helps to echo her amusement with his own.]

You can eat your fill after I have my fill.

[ What her feelings do with that is like a single, strong pulse of a heartbeat, only instead of sound or movement it's pure heat. Her eyes flicker to life, already more gold than red. ]

When you put it that way... [ She kisses him again, impassioned but easy and restrained, receptive and responsive rather than pressing. This is his show, she'll let him run it. (She so loves when he does.) ]

[She's letting him lead, and he doesn't waste the opportunity. He kisses her deeply, before easing her down onto the couch.

He settles over her, pressing more kisses down her neck.]

[ Good, enjoy it. It's not often she'll let herself be led along, and the intense, pure trust she's projecting through their connection is one reason -- it takes a very special sort of person to devote themselves to her sufficiently for her to experience that without them being turned. ]

[ But that's far from the only feeling flowing into him as she's lowered onto the couch. Beyond the warmth and love and compassion, there's also a strange reverence, closer to being flattered than to disbelief. Feeling what he feels for her is overwhelming in the best way. ]

[A wonderful feeling. He intends to savor this moment.

He begins to undress her, slowly, pressing more lingering kisses to each new inch of bared skin. With each kiss comes a fresh wave of adoration and love, desire to worship her as completely as she deserves.]

[ There's a flash of potent amusement as he gets her dress undone, and he'll see why immediately -- she didn't bother putting on anything but beneath it, choosing instead of sew a slip into the dress lining. She couldn't find anything she liked enough. In any case, it's easy enough to get her undressed this way! She giggles a bit, a trickle of humor mingling with the stronger feelings. ]

Ah, you chose not to wear something after all.

[Amusement, before he begins to mouth at the inside of her thighs, leaving soft pink marks behind.]

[ Another giggle, but the amusement flickers out when his mouth connects with her thigh in favor of a sharp gasp and some squirming it won't take any empathy bond to figure out. Through the connection, an odd mix of impatience and hoping he takes his very sweet time. ]

[He feels that impatience and chooses to answer it with more teasing, dotting more marks over her thighs and playing with her chest, but refusing to get to the place where she'd like him most.]

[ Encouragement is shot through the impatience along with something like begrudging respect. She loves when he teases and she doesn't let him do it nearly enough. Her breathing grows a bit short-winded, airy notes sounding with each exhale. Hopefully no one's listening at the door. ]

[If anyone hears them: no they don't.

Doctor could go on like this for quite some time, and he will if not pushed along. He kisses his way up her body to her chest, swirling his tongue around a nipple.]

[ Her fingers curling in his hair and her back arching off the sofa are probably encouraging enough, but just in case he missed it her emotions are absolutely thrumming with how pleased she is. Even lacking the specific pleasure she craves, being worshipped is -- bordering on its own kink, with her. ]
