[To be honest, she has a lot of qualities that Katsuki's mother, Mitsuki, has. But not as rough around the edges as she can be, so he feels more comfortable being honest with Saya than he would Mitsuki.

Put up with you, please. Until now I've dumped all my problems in your lap -- which I never apologized properly for, so. I'm sorry, Katsuki. You aren't some sounding board for me to vent all over.

But even if that hadn't happened, it's the least I can do for someone I consider a friend. I just want you to be okay. Both of you.

I... I don't mind it if it's from a friend.

[She doesn't have to apologize for venting to him.. maybe it was a bit much the first time, but he's also understanding now of why she was so upset in the first place so he has no hard feelings over that, either.]

But I appreciate the apology. And I appreciate the advice.

[Now, Katsuki will very gently reach to push Saya off of him.]

[ She releases him and takes a step backwards. And then he says that about being a hero and she feels incredibly sick, but she draws a breath and tries not to think about it. He means it as a compliment, and she's honored that he thinks so. Even if he's completely wrong. ]

Thank you. I'm glad if I helped. I can't promise I'll always have good advice, but you're always welcome to talk to me if you need to.

[Now that he's free, he can wipe his face with his sleeves properly as he's starting to calm down.]

I dunno if this is weird.... but you kinda remind me of my mom. But you're not an asshole like she is, and you actually listen to me when I have a problem instead of blaming me for having it in the first place.

[ That makes her smile, even though it is a little weird. But then her experience of parent figures has been even less positive than his, by the sound of it. ]

Alright, let me retract my statement. You remind me of her because you're also an asshole.

[That teasing gets her a grumpy little response, but he's glad at least that she understands what he means.]

But... still not as much as her.

[ She chuckles, trying to keep it light and not get into how badly she wishes Katsuki had a better mom. He deserved a better mom than it sounds like he had. ]

I'll take "less of an asshole" as the compliment it is.

Although if you've got an aunt or a teacher or someone who's only moderately an asshole I'll take that comparison with no lip. I might have a hard time beating you up if I think of myself as anything like a mom.

I ain't saying I think of you as a mom, and you shouldn't either because I already got one! It's just nice sometimes when you miss home and people remind you of it, that's all!

[He huffs, but he appreciates the conversation turning into something a bit lighter. Something he can get angry about even if it's mostly for show.]

But... maybe you're more like a really annoying, bossy older sister. I know someone who's nee-chan can act like you sometimes, too, and she's also annoying.

[ Saya has to swallow past a lump in her throat. Lighter, she's keeping it lighter, and the last person who called her his older sister is not a light topic. Saya really wouldn't know what it's like to think of home and not feel sick. ]

[ The comparison makes her happy equally as much as it reminds her of Riku, though. In her life, that's a win. ]

Yeah, older sister types can be like that. I'll work on it... maybe. Or maybe I'll be even more annoying. I guess time will tell.

[That does get a little smirk from him... maybe she's cheering him up a bit.]

I.. guess I'll think of how to message Izuku tomorrow. I need to get some fucking sleep or I'll go crazy.

[His heart feels a little bit at ease, so maybe he'll get more than just a couple of hours tonight?]

[ She doesn't even try to keep a straight face. (He does in fact look awful but her tone is absolutely sarcastic.) ]

[ She gives him a winning smile and makes herself scarce. ]
