I'll find my little ways somehow. I did tease that he finally found a foolproof way to get me to pet his hair and feed him grapes for the rest of time, sleeping excluded. [ Quite literally the rest of time ]

Honestly, I think we need each other. Venti has the other gods of his world and the mortal friends he makes, but they're off running their own nations and he spends so much time alone. I can at least be with him sometimes, help ease that pain.

[ Aliza hops off the bed and starts digging around under it. ] Now! Ready for the gift I made you? This is for once you get your wings back, since as I recall you couldn't lie down or recline with them.

[ She pulls out what is basically a wedge pillow which supports the spine and neck and head but with cutouts on either side for wings to rest unencumbered. It's well made, the outer cover is soft material with adorable bunnies on it so it's comfortable and adorable. ] I made the wing areas large enough to test it out with a wing potion, but I could make that more customized easily enough.

[ She turns the wedge so the slope is closer to horizontal ] This way is for laying closer to flat, and [ she flips it so the longer piece of the triangle is against the pillows and headboard, the angle is like a reclining chair ] this way is for sitting up but still having a way to rest. I tested a prototype with Causality and it worked quite well.

In the meantime it's comfortable enough even without the wings, and I chose the fabric so both you and the rabbits will like it.

[ Out from under her bed comes a corked vial of wing potion, which she offers to him. ]

One of these had the horns as well, but I can't remember which since they're not labeled. I guess it'll be a surprise.

[Takes a sip! And poof goes the wings... and the horns.]

Ah, lucky.

Lucky, indeed.

[ She drapes her arms around him one hand scritching around his horns like she did during the last Bingo game, eyes already glowing red-gold. ]

Kiss me, and we'll see about luckier.

[She doesn't need to ask him twice. He kisses her, deeper than the earlier kiss, one hand tangled into her hair as his wings flutter behind him.]

[ She can't help a low moan when their lips meet; there's nothing subtle about this side of her. The closest analogy to the way she kisses him is a revving engine, open and demanding, her free hand sliding beneath his jacket. ]

[The jacket is an obstacle, and Doctor shrugs it off. His wings curl towards Aliza gently, seeking out her touch as he lightly traces her bottom lip.]

[ When he finally gets his wings back for good she'll have to alter his clothes to avoid those sort of struggles, but for now she can at least wait a second before making him deal with the shirt -- fortunately his wings crooking around her is an apt distraction. Her hand traces along the edge of his wing, the bony fingers of the top and side and then swooping along the underside. And she grins against his mouth as her fingertips tease the spot where his wings meet his skin. ]

[His wings are sensitive in a way that he can't get used to, since he doesn't ordinarily have them. His whole body shakes, and his wings shudder underneath her touch.]

Absolutely unfair, I can't cheat like that with you.

[ Her satisfied hum at his response turns into warm chuckling. ]

Of course you can. [ She's still smiling when she dips forward to give him a relatively chaste kiss, as if to say 'you silly thing'. ] Every time you touch me, the whole world shifts. You could do anything and drive me crazy.

Do you really not know that? Especially with these extra features, I'd think it was obvious.

[No, he didn't know that, if the pink suddenly appearing on his cheeks is any indication. He traces his hands down her sides before moving to unlace her corset.]

Forgive my foolishness, then.

[ She makes a contented sound as his hands move, what a purr would be if a predator did it. ]

It's not foolishness, I hide it well enough. It's a habit, a bad one in this instance. Watch my eyes, they'll give me away. [ The red glow in her eyes is swirled with gold, whorls of patterns that swirl and ebb like the sea. ]

[ She smiles and drapes her arms over his shoulders, toying with his hair for the moment so as not to ruin his focus on ruining her focus. Playfully: ] I'm trusting you with this secret, now. Just think what would happen if it fell into the wrong hands.
